The Early Intervention Program (EIP) guarantees children and families specific procedural safeguards and due process rights under state and federal law. This course walks providers through the regulatory framework, related obligations under the Early Intervention Provider Agreement, the rights of parents and persons in parental relation, and their available options for due process, including mediation, impartial hearings, and system complaints. By completing this course, providers will be better equipped to guide families through their rights and options for resolving disputes.

This course is presented in a LIVE (real-time) interactive online format. Instructions on how to join the live virtual class are posted in the Files in this course.

After successfully completing the live class session and a the post-course survey, you will receive a downloadable certificate of completion. The class can only be completed once in a 12-month period in order to receive professional development credits. You must attend the entire class session in order to qualify for a certificate of completion.
