Welcome to Introduction to Service Coordination, a training in the field of early intervention offered by the New York State Department of Health’s Division of Family Health, Bureau of Early Intervention. In this course, you will learn about the roles and responsibilities of initial and ongoing service coordinators, commonly referred to as ISCs and OSCs. Completion of either the live or self-paced versions of the course will fulfill the requirement set forth in the Provider Agreement to complete introductory service coordination training sponsored or approved by the Department of Health prior to rendering service coordination services.

This course is presented in a LIVE (real-time) interactive online format. Instructions on how to join the live virtual class are posted in the Files in this course.

After successfully completing the live class session and a the post-course survey, you will receive a downloadable certificate of completion. If you have already earned a certificate of completion for this course either in a live or self-paced format IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, you cannot retake it and receive professional development credits. You must attend the entire live class (or series of classes, if applicable) in order to qualify for a certificate of completion.
